"Anime Character Illustration Workshop for Tweens" with Kaz McGlynn | 8-12yrs | 4-5pm | Commences Tuesday 4th February | 8-weeks | Term 1 2025
Anime Character Illustration Workshop
In this 8-week workshop, you'll learn the essential skills to create your very own anime style character, starting with the fundamentals of drawing the face and building up to a full-body form. Each week, you'll develop new techniques as you work toward your final masterpiece on canvas, incorporating mixed media and paint to bring your character to life. Perfect for anime fans and aspiring artists looking to expand their creative skillset.
Over the eight weeks, young creatives will:
Experiment with different styles and techniques
Practice drawing characters and environments
Play with colour, shading, and composition
Build confidence in their creative skills
This workshop is perfect for young creatives who love to draw and want to explore new ways to express their creativity.
Workshops will run 4-5pm Term One Tuesday 4th,11th,18th, 25th February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March 2025 at Bluebird House (Cnr Carr & Swanston Streets, South Geelong).

Bookings are non-refundable but, should you be unable to attend, your place can be transferred to a friend. Please contact us if you should need to transfer your booking.
We believe that the arts play an important role in community wellbeing and with sensible precautions in place, we can provide programs at Bluebird House. Our guidelines have been informed by the Victorian Department of Health. All participants will be required to adhere to Bluebird Foundation’s COVIDSafe Plan.

This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of participants, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email.
Kaz McGlynn
Kaz McGlynn is an Artist/Art Educator and Founder of KAZWORKS, which “Creates, Makes, and Educates Art” through mixed media and sculpture. With over three decades of experience, she has taught thousands of students across various art mediums. Known for her public art, Kaz collaborates closely with community groups. Her work has earned her numerous awards, including Design Council Australia Awards, Small Business and Education Awards, and a Greater City of Geelong Life Award for her contributions to disability and inclusion. She enjoys fostering confidence in adults, teens, and kids through engaging classes in a fun, safe environment focused on art theory and technique.
