These are certainly difficult times, and those whose lives are entwined with the performing arts have been dealt a challenging hand.

Platform Arts has made the difficult decision to cancel all performances for 2021 at their venue. If you had booked tickets for Maps of the Heart, Platform Arts will have already been in touch to cancel.

The North Youth Theatre ensemble have set their eyes on bringing you a live performance of Maps of the Heart in 2022 but their creativity and passion are still alive with plans for digital works already underway. The grace, gratitude and hope that these young people have demonstrated in the face of incredible disappointment has been inspiring...

"The process of creating Maps of the Heart hasn't been a smooth one - as indicative of the rest of the arts community. We have certainly felt the effects of these circumstances beyond our control; as artists, and as humans. Everyone in North Youth Theatre is disappointed and upset to have to delay our incredible show (multiple times) but we haven't lost all hope! I believe in this group, our voices, and the significance of our work. Adversities and road-blocks have never stopped us before, and we remain committed to creating and performing authentic culturally diverse theatre that is close to our heart.
