Bluebird Foundation Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our Committee of Management. As a community arts organisation, we create and deliver high-quality arts programs that make a real difference in people’s lives. Our vision is to effect cultural change through the arts, leading to improved social, emotional, and health outcomes in the Geelong community.

At Bluebird, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. About the Role
We are seeking passionate individuals who share our values of joy, inclusion, and integrity to join our board. This voluntary role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of Bluebird Foundation and support its mission.

Our Committee of Management provides governance and leadership, ensuring Bluebird’s long-term sustainability. Members play a key role in setting priorities, managing risk, approving strategic decisions, and overseeing financial performance. Committed to integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement, the Committee helps drive Bluebird’s success and impact in the community.

The Committee seeks applicants with diverse skills and experiences to enhance decision-making and strengthen governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and governance to the organisation

  • Support and promote Bluebird Foundation’s mission, vision, and values

  • Offer expertise in areas such as fundraising, finance, community engagement, governance, or the arts

  • Guide fundraising and work collaboratively to secure Bluebird’s future

  • Attend board meetings and actively participate in decision-making and governance.

  • Assist in networking and advocacy to strengthen the Foundation’s impact.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking energetic and motivated individuals whose passion for community arts is matched by their skills and willingness to create meaningful impact. We welcome applications from individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Ideal candidates may have experience in:

  • Not-for-profit governance

  • Finance and accounting

  • Fundraising and sponsorship

  • Grant administration

  • Marketing and communications

  • Law, legal services and compliance

  • Community arts 

  • Health and wellbeing sectors

  • Business management

  • Community engagement

Previous board experience is not essential, and we encourage applications from passionate individuals who are eager to contribute their skills to a growing and impactful organisation.
